Application Procedure

Before Mobility Period:

The application must be submitted before the start date of the exchange/research project.

It is recommended to start the application for the STIR grant once your dates have been confirmed and you have the admission letter from the host university.

Do not upload your TU Delft nomination letter!

• Students will be nominated for their exchange period in Osiris Student.
• Once nominated, students will be able to apply for the STIR grant (You will need to have your official start and end dates, and your Hosts admission letter to apply).
• Students will be directed to apply for the Erasmus+ grant, but this is not intended for students going to non-EU destinations. You must follow these steps:
  • In Osiris Student, Requirements, Click on Back and select Delete at the bottom of the screen.
  • Register a new request for stay abroad in Osiris student: Request registration contact and emergency information.
  • Register your stay abroad contact details to ensure we know where you are should anything occur in your country of residence. You also receive free collective TU Delft travel insurance.
  • Select Grant, answer the questions in the online form and upload your official admission letter from the host institution. Review your scholarship application.
• Make sure you click SUBMIT at the end of application and you will receive an automatic notification confirming your application for a STIR grant has been received
• Within 2 weeks you will receive an email notification about the award of your STIR grant application.
• Any changes to your application can be seen under Progress.

During Mobility:

• Should you start or end your exchange or research project earlier please notify the mobility team (outgoingglobal-esa@tudeflt.nl)
• Carry out a promotional activity, you can use the PowerPoint presentation above to assist you. More information can be found on the FAQ page and in the travel report guidelines.

After Mobility Period:

• Using the travel report guidelines document complete your Travel report, ensure you enter details and photos (if any) of your promotional work. Without this information you will delay the payment process.
• You will receive payment within 3-4 weeks
