MSc electives

Students in each of the IDE MSc programmes need to complete 30 EC of elective courses. These electives enable students to further personalise their profile. Students may choose to (further) specialise in a theme, broaden their knowledge, deepen their skills or achieve a combination of these.

The free elective semester is reserved for electives and takes place in your third semester. Therefore, electives are offered and can be taken all year round.

Students may choose MSc elective courses offered by the IDE faculty, but there are also many opportunities outside our faculty. Students may take courses at another faculty of the TU Delft or go to another university within the Netherlands. It is also possible to take an internship of at least 10 weeks or fill your elective space with the courses of your Study Abroad programme (see also Elective Space opportunities).
