Are you experiencing problems with TU Delft's ICT resources? Then check the reports page for possible malfunctions.

NetID

The NetID account is your username by which you are known to the TU Delft. Your NetID can be used to gain to ICT services (e.g. Brightspace).

The NetID is a unique code that is assigned to you.To make it easy to remember, your NetID is based on your name information. In general the initials of your first name and your entire surname are used.

Your NetID will not be changed, even if a typo has occurred. The only exception is a request for change in case of a name change. In this case you can send your request to contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl.

How does it work?

Your NetID is created automatically and sent with an activation link by email after your first student enrolment application at the TU Delft. Your NetID wil not be sent automatically after a subsequent enrolment application.

Your NetID can be re-sent upon request. Send your request to contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl form the email address you have entered via Studielink.

Anyone with a NetID may view and update (in some cases) their own details in the electronic E-Service service desk.

Employees can follow the instruction in the manual on the right side of the page to activate their NetID.

Password

What does it mean?

A username and password help protect your data. Make sure that these remain private and are not shared with anyone else. Please treat your password confidentially, just as you would your debit card PIN. Never share your NetID account with anyone else – not with friends, other students, managers or colleagues. If you need to share your files with others, there are ways to do so without sharing your NetID account.

How does it work?

You can activate your NetID account yourself and change your password via password.tudelft.nl.

Every 365 days you will be notified that you need to renew your password. Each newly entered password is checked against a number of criteria before it is confirmed. More information on passwords and tips for setting a good password can be found here.
