We offer free 45-minute coaching sessions. You are welcome to book an appointment with us at any stage of the writing process, whether you are at the beginning of your writing assignment or almost finished. During a session, our coach will ask you targeted questions to help you get a clearer idea of your structure and writing goals, while you also have the opportunity to discuss any problems you are experiencing with your writing. You can send in a few pages of writing beforehand to illustrate the issues or questions you would like to discuss during the session. If you want to continue the conversation, you can book a follow-up session.
Coaching sessions take place at the Writing Centre or online. The Writing Centre is based in Room C0.020 of the Institute for Languages and Academic Skills in the TBM building (Building 31, Jaffalaan 5). Once you have signed up, your coach will contact you to arrange a location.

- We are not an editing agency, so we will not edit or rewrite your text. We take a coaching approach to help you improve. We can give you (general) writing exercises to help you work on aspects of your writing that you feel require more practice.
- We are not content experts and do not assume an expert role in our coaching sessions. We can, however, help you prepare for a (feedback) discussion with your supervisor or lecturer.
- We do not grade or assess your writing.
-
Our coaching sessions are free.
