Call for submissions International CBL Conference 2025

 

On April 7-8, 2025 the first International Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) Conference will take place at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), the Netherlands. We are excited to bring together educators, researchers, practitioners, industry leaders, and community stakeholders from around the world.

The theme of the conference will be Challenging learners for global impact and it promises to be a gathering of minds passionate about leveraging education to make a meaningful impact on a global scale.

The International CBL Conference serves as a platform for teachers, researchers, students and educational staff but also for organizations, and communities to come together, share their experiences, and explore opportunities for collaboration and collective action.

We welcome contributions that align with the conference topics:

  1. Research Papers: Present empirical or theoretical research related to CBL and its impact on education and society.
  2. Practice Papers: Share case studies or practical experiences that highlight the implementation and outcomes of CBL in various educational settings.
  3. Workshops: Propose interactive sessions that engage participants in hands-on activities and discussions around CBL.
  4. Posters: Show your research and work you have done in a nutshell.
  5. Test your challenge: Bring your own challenge case and share your educational design with peers and facilitate discussions that can help you shape and improve your design and delivery plans.

Submission Process

There are two types of submissions:

  • Extended abstracts (1000 words) which will be published in a Book of Abstract containing an ISBN number.
  • Full research or practice papers which will be published in the conference proceedings.

Important dates

  • Extended Abstract Submission Deadline: November 1st , 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance: December 16th, 2024
  • Full Paper Submission Deadline: November 1st, 2024
  • Conference Dates: April 7th- 8th, 2025
