Open Science Week
23-27 September 2024
To celebrate and recognize the crucial role of Open Science in the advancement of science, the Network of Open Science Communities in the Netherlands (OSC-NL) organises its first OSC-NL National Open Science Week.
Programme:
Monday (23 September)
Thursday (26 September)
The Open Science Week will focus on the growing recognition within the research community of open science's critical impact on scientific progress and innovation. While open science garners broad support, its practical implementation often faces challenges due to the additional time and resources that are required.
Resources
This Open Science Week aims to bridge the gap between the ideal and the practice by raising awareness about the various support services and structures in place. Such as the Digital Competency Center, the Open Science Programme and the Open Science Community Delft. These resources are designed to ease the application of open science principles, providing researchers with the necessary tools and funding to adopt more open and collaborative scientific practices. By highlighting these resources, the hope is to encourage more researchers to embrace open science, ultimately fostering a more transparent, inclusive, and efficient scientific landscape.
