Objective
FutPrInt50 (Future propulsion and integration: towards a hybrid-electric 50-seat regional aircraft) is a Horizon-2020 project that aims to advance the state of the art by identifying and developing technologies and configurations that will accelerate the entry-into-service of a commercial hybrid-electric aircraft in a class of up to 50 seats by 2035-2040.
The project consortium includes academic and industrial partners with a wide range of relevant expertise. Our role is to perform aerodynamic, aeroacoustic, and structural analyses of propellers in energy-harvesting conditions, including detailed consideration of propeller-wing interactions. Both experimental and computational studies will be performed, and rapid low-order models will be developed for integration with aircraft-design tools of the project partners.
More information about the project is available on the project website.
Project partners: University of Stuttgart, Cranfield University, Delft University of Technology, Embraer RT Europe (Airholding), ADSE, CEA-Liten, EASN Technology Innovation Services, University Niccolo Cusano, Embraer SA.
