Minors
Minors: the ideal opportunity to expand your horizons and increase your value on the job market
Today’s job market is calling for engineers with wide-ranging knowledge who are willing to look beyond the boundaries of their own degree discipline. In order to prepare its students for the working world, TU Delft has a major/minor structure in all of its Bachelor’s programmes. In addition to providing a focus on your major or main degree subject, this system enables you to add another dimension to your studies in the form of a minor.
The minor is a cohesive unit of courses worth a total of 30 ECTS credits, accounting for six months of your studies. You take your minor in the first semester of your third Bachelor’s year. You are entirely free in your choice of minor. It therefore provides an appealing opportunity to look beyond the bounds of your own discipline.
