Expansion of team of confidential advisors at TU Delft
Expansion from six to ten people
The team of confidential advisors at TU Delft has been expanded from six to ten people. In this role, they act as a point of contact, sounding board and guide for TU Delft students, staff members and guests facing undesirable behaviour or a suspected breach of integrity.
Three new confidential advisors will work on issues relating to academic integrity. These are professors Ferdinand Grozema (TNW), Dingena Schott (ME) and Wim Uijttewaal (CEG).
Three other new internal confidential advisors are Atefeh Aghaee (ESA), Ella Dongstra (CREFM) and Hanneke Leffers (AS). They will focus on questions and issues relating to transgressive behaviour and/or organisational integrity. The threesome joins three experienced colleagues: Giorgia Giardina (CEG), Ada van Gulik (EEMCS) and Christiaan Mooiman (AS).
In addition to all of these internal confidential advisors, the team also includes an external confidential advisor: Carin van der Hor. All new confidential advisors will attend several days of training in 2024.
Support and advice
Confidential advisors are available to support, assist and possibly refer students, staff members and guests of TU Delft who encounter potential integrity violations, such as bullying, sexual harassment, a potential conflict of interest or suspicions of academic fraud. They also provide information on integrity and social safety within the university. Finally, they have an important advisory role: the confidential advisors inform managers and the TU Delft Executive Board, on request or at their own initiative, about developments they observe in the areas of academic, organisational and social integrity.
All confidential advisors are accessible to everyone at TU Delft; you are free to choose whom to turn to. More information and contact details can be found on TU Delft’s website (see, for example, the FAQ) or through the Studentportal.
