The NRO Comenius Fellowships
The Comenius grants are focused on educational innovation. The themes for this year are:
- Studying together on the hybrid campus,
- Directing the student in flexible education,
- Transdisciplinary cooperation,
- Free theme - in the broadest sense of the word Sustainable for the Future.

There are three types of Comenius grants for teaching staff depending on their experience
- Teaching Fellow (> 2 years of experience, €90-100k per project, 24-30 months project duration);
- Senior Fellow (> 5 years of experience, application one per faculty, €90-100k per project, 24-30 months project duration);
- Leadership Fellow (> 7 years of experience, application one per institution, 450-500k per project, 36-42 months project duration).

SURF Open and Online Education Stimulus Package
SURF has announced that institutions will be able to submit proposals this autumn for the final round of the Open and Online Education Stimulus Package. This year’s themes are:
- Optimal blend: innovating education through the use of ICT, with a well thought out course design at its basis, aiming to achieve an optimal blend of online and on-campus learning activities (Max. €100k. per project, 100% matching required, with a 12-24 months project duration)
- Open Educational Resources: Encourage the sharing, reuse and development of open educational resources within communities of teachers across institutions. (Max. €175k. per project, 100% matching required, with a 12-24 months project duration)
