Interested in contributing to an extracurricular initiative that connects Music and Technology?

Are you as a lecturer passionate about the role music could play in your field of education, and would you like to give an extracurricular workshop on your subject as an exchange activity for TU Delft students and students of the Dutch international art college Codarts?
Read on because this special initiative will be of your interest. The principle drive is what technical and musical students have in common and what they can learn from each other.

With most of their members being a student in Delft as well as having a passion for playing jazz, Student jazz association Groover came up with the idea to create common workshops for students from both the technical university and the musical conservatory were they can explore a (totally) different subject, while giving input from their own background.

The collaboration will consist of two parts. One part will be at Codarts in Rotterdam where music teachers will provide a music focused workshop. The second part will be at the TU Delft where you can provide a workshop focused on a technical aspect with the integration of music. An example could be about gamification and the role music plays or about sound waves or about the electronics needed.

Do you already have an idea how you want to give shape to your workshop or do you want to spar about it with peers from TU Delft, Groover and Codarts? Groover will set up a brainstorm in June. The actual workshops will take place in autumn. If you are interested in participating, please contact Groover via Darcey Bil at extern@grooverjazz.nl
