Composition thesis committee
By Dutch law, the Board of Examiners ensures the quality of assessment, including that of the master thesis project. The Board of Examiners cannot assess the master thesis projects of all master students themselves. For practical reasons the Board of Examiners appoints a thesis committee to act on behalf of the Board (see Rules and Regulations of the Board of Examiners Article 30, subsection 1). Students submit a proposal to the Board of Examiners for the composition of the thesis committee. The committee consists of at least two and at most three core members. In addition, the committee may have advisors. For more detailed information see the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Examiners.
The following students submit their committee via MaRe:
- Applied Mathematics,
- Computer and Embedded Systems Engineering,
- Computer Science
- Electrical Engineering.
Students of Sustainable Energy Technology can find the form here.
Please be aware that without an approved thesis committee, the master thesis defence session cannot take place. If the session does take place and your master thesis project is assessed, you risk having the result declared invalid by the Board of Examiners. As a result, you will have to redo the defence session and face study delay.
There are strict deadlines to submit the Thesis Committee Form and the Final Examination Form (see below). The meeting dates of the Board of Examiners can be found here.
