TU Delft Educator of the Year 2023: Alessandro Bombelli

Every year the study associations, together with the Director of Education of each faculty, nominate their Faculty Educator of the year to become the TU Delft Educator of the Year.

Characteristic of the educator of the year is the tremendous dedication to education, innovativeness and commitment & connection to students.

On 9 November 2023 at the TU Delft Education Day - Award Ceremony, the Faculty Educators of the Year 2023 were put in the spotlight and the TU Delft Educator of the Year 2023 was announced.

This year the title “TU Delft Educator of the Year” goes to Alessandro Bombelli!

Alessandro Bombelli, from the faculty Aerospace Engineering, stands out among both his colleagues and his students for setting a supportive learning environment. His teaching style engages students using humour and interactive games when tackling complex subjects. This approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also creates a deep understanding of challenging concepts. He encourages his students to ask questions freely and provides constructive feedback that highlights both areas of improvement and commendable achievements. Alessandro's supportive way of teaching empowers his students to become confident, self-motivated learners who embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
