Disposable Skin Stretch Sensor
Ongoing project to develop a new, unobtrusive stretchable sensor which can be used to monitor posture and local movements of the body. The sensors are based on stretchable adhesive tape (stretchable up to 100%) on which a stretchable conductive ink is screen printed. The changes in resistance are a direct measure for the local stretch. The sensors are easily applied to different positions on the torso, arms and legs. Since they have a similar stiffness as the human skin, they do not hamper movements and can be worn below the clothing.
