The CDAM expanded the facilities to support education and research, with the acquisition of the Mark3D Carbon printer, Multi material printer and the Stoll CMS automatic knitter.
The Mark3D carbon printer offers high strength & high quality prints out of carbon fiber, fiberglass and kevlar.
The Connex J735 printer can print multiple materials at the same time, enabling prints that require a range of mechanical, optical or thermal properties in the same part.
The Stoll CMS 530 is able to knit complex patterns with different materials ranging from normal yarn to conductive yarn for smart clothing.
