Soft Robotics Summer School 2022
Just before the 2022/2023 academic year began, TU Delft hosted the Soft Robotics Summer School for PhD students.
The two-week course, which ran from 22 August to 2 September, featured a riveting schedule, which included talks by over 40 speakers. Of the 40+ speakers, five were from IDE - Jun Wu, Zjenja Doubrovski, Sepideh Ghodrat, Jiwei Zhou, and Guoxin Gang.
In addition to talks from IDE researchers, two workshops were held in our faculty’s Applied Labs.
The last two days of the Summer School (1 - 2 September) were organised as a symposium, alongside a soft robotics competition. The symposium included keynotes by Wenqi Hu (Max Planck Institute), Stanislav Gorb (Kiel University), Herbert Shea (EPFL), Just Herder (TU Delft), and Charlie Wang (University of Manchester).
This year’s Soft Robotics Summer School was organised by Aimée Sakes (3mE) and Rob Scharff (IDE PhD alumnus).
