Gul Afreen
Afreen received her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Amity University, India. Then, she pursued a Master’s degree in Material Science from Aligarh Muslim University, India. Thereafter, she finished her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Sreedevi Upadhyayula at Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. Her research was focused on thermo-catalytic conversion of biomass into fuel and value added chemicals. After completing her PhD, she worked for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in India for one year where her research work was focused on catalyst and process development for renewable fuel production from rice husk and mixed-plastic waste. She joined our group as a postdoctoral researcher in June 2022 and works on CO2 hydrogenation reactions in continuous flow reactors under high pressure conditions.
