Damian Vico van Berkel

Damian Vico van Berkel obtained his MSc in Chemical Engineering at TU Delft in 2023, and his BSc in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at TU/e. During his studies, he was member of our group, where he worked in the development of spatially resolved SSITKA-DRIFTS and kinetic model.

After a stay in Paul-Scherrer Institute, he joined the Urakawa group as a PhD candidate. His thesis, funded by the VICI grant awarded to prof. Urakawa, will focus on the development of novel operando IR spectroscopy methodologies aimed at unraveling structure-activity relationships of heterogeneous catalysts under true operating conditions.
