Arjan van Timmeren and Alex Wandl (Urbanism, BK Bouwkunde TU Delft) discuss their ideas about circular cities with experts from all over the world at the Futurebuild 2019 event that will take place in London on 5-7 March 2019. The prototype of the REPAiR decision support system can be tested at the event.

On 22 January 2019, the Circular Built Environment Hub in collaboration with EIT Raw Materials organised a workshop on remanufacturing of building products at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. The event attracted stakeholders interested in moving the building industry towards a circular economy.

Samen met producenten en afnemers ontwikkelden wetenschappers van BK Bouwkunde TU Delft en het Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS Institute) een prototype circulaire keuken. Dit is een keuken die niet slechts 10 of 20 jaar meegaat, maar bijna oneindig kan worden vernieuwd en aangepast op veranderende wensen.

Critical materials are materials which we need for current and future product technologies, but which are now or soon difficult to acquire. BK Bouwkunde is part of the consortium SusCritMat, which aims to educate people from industry and academia about important aspects on critical materials.

On 22 November, architects, engineers, researchers, professors and students will speak about circular deployment, approach and renovation of existing buildings and their environment. The largest building in the Netherlands – the AMC - serves as a case study.

De Circular Built Environment Hub van de Faculteit Bouwkunde organiseert een reeks publieke debatten. Elke twee maanden vindt er een debat plaats over een specifiek onderwerp op het gebied van circulariteit in de gebouwde omgeving.

Van 4 tot en met 26 oktober zijn de genomineerde en winnende projecten van de Circularity in the Built Environment Graduation Award 2022-2023 te bekijken in de gang rondom de Oostserre.

On 18 September, Visiting Professor Joanna Williams will give the public lecture 'Circular cities: a revolution in sustainable urban systems' at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment.

Op 3 oktober worden de genomineerde en winnende projecten van de Circularity in the Built Environment Graduation Award 2022-2023 bekend gemaakt.
