PIP at the European Privacy Law Scholars Conference
Thijmen van Gend, Donald Jay Bertulfo, and Seda Gürses of the Programmable Infrastructures Project (PIP) will discuss their ongoing work “Privacy: the more, the merrier?” at the European Privacy Law Scholars Conference on October 24, 2024. The work describes how large tech companies instrumentalise privacy-enhancing technologies in a fashion that entrenches their computational infrastructures in governments’ and businesses’ production processes. Taking place in Amsterdam, PLSC-Europe is a paper workshop conference, where attendants deliberate and provide feedback on in-progress scholarship. The event thus promises to bring fruitful insights that the team can take to improve their ideas for a subsequent paper publication. More information about the conference is available at https://www.ivir.nl/plsce2024 .
