Goals of the project

The sail simulator will utilize state of the art bespoke virtual reality software together with a near life physical craft to allow competitive single crew sailing athletes (including Paralympic competitors) to engage in a competitive race in realistic conditions. Performance data can be read and responded to in real time and the coach can interact if required. Alternatively the athlete can train alone or with team colleagues. Past recorded competitive races can be re-run again and again resulting in athlete performance and confidence being boosted.
