Safe Refuge
Earlier this year students of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment received a FAST Ambitious Idea grant to design ‘transition houses’. These houses can be placed in countries which receive many refugees from the Ukraine and can later be moved to the Ukraine when people return while their country is still under construction. “Thanks to the Ambitious Idea grant we were able to conduct three successful workshops for Ukrainians in Warsaw. The grant covered the costs of craft materials, models and preparation of the workshops. They were an invaluable source of knowledge of housing needs and expectations of different age groups”, according to the students. Watch the video
