I was...
...born in Germany, grew up in Chernihiv in the north of Ukraine, now completely bombed and wiped off the face of the Earth. I have no words to describe my past there, still digesting in my mind the understanding: this all is gone.
At first...
...I felt complete powerlessness and despair, but the next day the fire of action and solidarity start to burn in me, and all that I witness is making it bigger and stronger. Cowardice is the most terrible of vices. Cowardice in the past to say what you think, cowardice to act, cowardice to wish for a better future and bring it to life. I don't want to choose inaction and ignorance. It led Putin to terrorize the world, Ukrainians fight for the future not only Ukraine but the future of all. Freedom is a well-deserved award. I do everything in my power to help everyone who needs it, and I have completely revised my priorities and principles in life, I want only to bring the best to this world.
My main hope...
...is that these monstrous times will be gone soon and what is the most important; create strong personalities, the community of people which would not allow such a scenario to repeat anywhere and never in the future. A future where innocent children don't die, where cities don't get bombed, where deception can't take over people's minds.
I will sing...
...the anthem of Ukraine at X’s Earth Hour event this Saturday, it contains hope, faith in goodness, and the fight against evil, which leads only to freedom. The biggest help is the open consciousness of people. If you can isolate the truth from a heap of propaganda, if you are the person who is ready to help your neighbour, you are already doing a lot. The good must wield an iron fist in a velvet glove to be able to protect who is in need.
