Incoming Exchange Students
Are you a student outside the Netherlands and do you wish to take courses at the faculty of ME (Mechanical Engineering) at the TU Delft? This page shows where to get the information you need.
Exchange
The faculty ME has agreements with numerous universities around the world. To see whether your home university is one of them, check their website or ask your International Office. The application deadlines are the 1st of April for the fall semester, and the 1st of October for the spring semester

To check which courses you can subscribe for, see the Study Guide. Be aware: most BSc courses are Dutch, while all MSc courses are English. Exchange students have to take courses for at least 24 ECTS at the TU Delft per semester. At most 30% of these courses can be taken at faculties other than ME (for example Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or language courses).

First you have to be nominated by your home university for an exchange at the faculty ME. Secondly, before you can apply at the TU Delft. The procedure is explained at the page ‘Exchange Students’.

Are you interested in doing an internship at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (ME)? Our faculty does not have an an internship office at ME, you will have to organise this yourself. Please check first with your home university the consequences of doing an internship abroad: graduation planning, finances.
If you have determined a subject area, you can contact the dedicated ME Master coordinator directly via an email.
The coordinator is your contact person and will handle questions regarding internships at our Faculty

Wish to follow courses at the TU Delft from you home country? The TU Delft offers several courses online, called ‘OpenCourseWare’. Another approachable way to study subjects, is via DelftX MOOCs (Massive Online Open Courses).
