All MSc students of the programmes Civil Engineering (CIE), Applied Earth Sciences (AES), Environmental Engineering (EE), Construction Management and Engineering (CME), and Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics (TIL) who are starting their thesis or thesis preparation module from Q2 of academic year 2024-2025 and onwards, need to make use of MyCase for their thesis procedure. The MSc Applied Geophysics will not make use of MyCase for now. If you have started your MSc thesis (prep) before Q2 2024-2025 you can continue and finish the thesis procedure that applied to your programme when you started, which are listed on this website. This also applies to CIE and AES students of cohort 21/22 and earlier who are still finishing the former CIE and AES programmes. You do not have to use MyCase.

You can start your MSc project in MyCase as soon as you meet the entry criteria for your thesis (prep) or you have permission otherwise to start your thesis (prep). You can find the starting criteria with additional information on this website. You create a case right before the start of your thesis (prep). The first step in MyCase is to declare that you meet the entry requirements and after that you have to propose your supervisory team.
-
You can log into MyCase by using your StudentID/NetID for TU Delft applications via this link:
-
If you are staff, you can only see the cases that a student has added you to, for example by assigning you as supervisor or chair. If you do not see any cases, check with your student whether they have already added you.
If you are a student, click the blue “Create new MSc graduation project” button in the top-right corner to get started.
-
If you are a TIL or CME student make sure you select the faculty of Civil Engineering for your MSc Project and not one of the other faculties involved in your programme. These programmes are listed at CEG. After having selected your programme you can still add staff from the other invovled faculties as your supervisor or chair.
-
Chose (one of) your programme(s) of CEG when you are creating your case and select the option that you are doing a double degree at TU Delft. After that you will be able to register what your other programme is and to which faculty it belongs.
-
You can select the option that you cannot find your supervisor when prompted in MyCase and immediately send an e-mail with the required information to mycase-ceg@tudelft.nl. You can also manually send and e-mail with the name and e-mail address of your supervisor/examiner to this address. We will then add your supervisor to MyCase and notify you so that you can select them and continue with your case. This request may take some time to process but will be handled as soon as possible.
-
Please make sure to discuss these changes with your supervisor or chair before making changes in MyCase. You can change your supervision team or assessment committee using the ‘Edit’ button in the Stakeholders tab. If you change your responsible supervisor, your new responsible supervisor needs to approve this in MyCase. If you change your assessment committee, both your (new) chair and the Board of Examiners needs to approve this in MyCase before you can continue.
-
If you look at ‘Tasks for others’ on the right hand side in your case, you can see what tasks are open for others, who this task is for, and for which phase the task is required. If you are a student and you see an open task for your supervisor or chair, you can contact them and ask them to complete their task. If a task for SPA or the Board of Examiners/BoE Mandate is open, allow some time for them to approve your requests. If it takes longer than two weeks, you can contact mycase-ceg@tudelft.nl to ask what you should do.
