National research project for a secure Internet of Things
Devices that are connected to the internet, such as self-driving cars and intelligent thermostats, pose an increasing threat to our privacy and security. Protecting against this requires a fundamental approach that is urgently needed.
Drs.ir. E.P. (Ilse) Verdiesen
Ilse Verdiesen is a PhD researcher that focusses on the design of Human Oversight of Autonomous Weapons to study the control mechanisms that are related to Meaningful Human Control and military decision-making processes.
Dr.ir. T. (Trivik) Verma
Trivik Verma is an Assistant Professor at the faculty of Technology, Policy and Management. He leads the Centre for Urban Science & Policy (CUSP).
The Future of Cash
Igo Boerrigter, master student at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft, was commissioned by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the central bank of the Netherlands, to analyse the current use of cash. Based on this analysis he made recommendations for a sustainable, usable and affordable cash system for the future. He also devised a more user-friendly alternative to coins.
