Y. Fu (Yifan)

Biography

I was born in 1988 in Shenyang, a city in the northeast of China. In 2010, I obtained my BSc degree in Materials Physics from Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China. In June 2013, I finished my MEng project in Materials Science at the same university with the thesis “Fabrication and Influencing Factors of Mono-sized Spherical Micro Particles by Pulsated Orifice Ejection Method (POEM)”. In July of the same year, I joined Shenyang Liming Aero-engine Company as a metallurgical engineer. After working for three years, I got an opportunity to study at the University of Nottingham (UoN), the UK, where I got the MSc degree in Advanced Materials with the thesis “Development of Metallic-based durable superhydrophobic surfaces” in September 2017. In February 2018, I started my PhD project at Delft University of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Sybrand van der Zwaag and Dr. Niels van Dijk.
