Urban Energy

energie stad

'Urban energy' concerns the energy needs and systems within urban areas. This includes both the demand for energy and the infrastructure and technologies used to meet that demand. With the growth of cities and local renewable energy sources, managing energy in urban environments is becoming increasingly important. Consider energy efficiency and sustainability, as well as resilience to climate change.

Delft University of Technology deals with a wide range of solutions, including district heating and cooling, smart grids, energy-efficient buildings and the promotion of renewable energy sources within urban areas.

How do we work together?

Together with various parts of Delft University of Technology and partners, we are working on groundbreaking projects.
