Hydrogen is a promising energy carrier that can contribute to the transition to a sustainable energy system. Hydrogen can be used as a fuel for vehicles, as an energy storage medium, in industrial processes and as a feedstock for the (petro)chemical industry.
Although hydrogen has potential to contribute to the decarbonization of sectors such as transportation and industry, there are still challenges in terms of production, storage, distribution and cost that need to be addressed.
