Minor overview
TU Delft offers more than fifty minors each year. The range of minors comprises selection and non-selection minors. These can both broaden and deepen your knowledge as part of your degree programme.
-
A selection minor is a thematic minor which has a limited number of places available. Additional admission criteria apply in addition to the eligibility criteria of an eligible programme.
To take part in a selection minor you must register for the minor in good time, and you must be selected for the minor by the minor coordinator. This happens through an additional selection procedure, which may include such things as writing a motivation letter or submitting a portfolio. Selection is carried out by the minor coordinator of the minor in question.
Please note that once you've been selected and placed, it's not possible to deregister.
You can register yourself for a selection minor in April.
-
A non-selection minor is a thematic minor which has a limited number of places available, but for which you do not have to go through an additional selection procedure; only the (pre-) degree requirements determine whether you are eligible to be admitted.
To take part in a non-selection minor you must register for the thematic minor in good time, and selection takes place by means of direct registration (based on available places).
You can register yourself for a non-selection minor in May until August or up til when places are available.
(External students have a different registration period)
