Research facilities

TU Delft and Leiden University have extensive computer labs for programming courses. Students can use the cleanroom in the van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory and the facilities of the Else Kooi Lab at TU Delft for nanofabrication. The research labs in the department of Quantum Nanoscience (QN) and the QuTech research centre in Delft and the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION) have excellent infrastructure and state-of-the-art equipment for experimental training in the form of a wide range of challenging experiments, many of which are openly structured to stimulate further investigation. The Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) has its own Research and Education Laboratory, which is equipped with several high-performance computing servers. The Mathematical Institute in Leiden offers access to the ALICE high-performance computing cluster that students can use for more demanding computational tasks.
