“Do not be distracted with what the people around you are doing. Try to find your own selection of courses/electives that fit you best.”

What attracted you to a MSc in Aerospace engineering?
I was fascinated with aircraft and space when I was in high school. I also really enjoyed math and physics so it seemed like an ideal match. I chose TU Delft because of the high ranking and the fact that I had heard some positive things from friends that went to Delft for their studies.

How did you make your MSc selection?
I looked at the courses I enjoyed the most during my BSc, which happened to be the power and propulsion courses. I also joined the DARE team as a propulsion engineer for the Stratos rocket, which I really enjoyed. But I did not want to limit myself to rocket propulsion, therefore I chose the general propulsion track.

What attracted you to Power and Propulsion?
I like the fact that we dive deep into the theory behind for example the air flow through an engine. I like that we learn fundamental concepts before applying it in the different projects we do.

What is your overall experience with your MSc in AE?
I must say it is pretty intense. You have to prioritise your work in order to be able to handle it all. But you really learn a lot in a short amount of time, which is great to experience.

What do you like most about your MSc in AE?
The fact that the teachers are experts in what they teach. They are still connected to the industry and even invite guest lectures from big companies to come present.

What is a golden tip you would give to upcoming MSc students?
Do not be distracted with what the people around you are doing. Try to find your own selection of courses/electives that fit you best.
