Programme
The first year of the Aerodynamics and Wind Energy program is designed to provide a fundamental background in fluid mechanics and its applications. Aerodynamics analysis by means of experimental, theoretical and computational methods is also taught in the first year. Concurrently, you follow two or three elective courses associated with a selected profile. After completing the courses and an internship, you join one of the research groups for a literature study and final thesis.
Student profile
The AWE student has high interest in aerodynamics and in search of efficiency in solutions. The student has a strong basis in aerodynamics, differential equations, numerical analysis and looks to expand his/her knowledge on these subjects. The student has affection for physics and sustainability and wants to improve aerospace or wind energy by improving the efficiency of flight, wings, rotor blades, and the like.
