The Ir. Michael H. Wisbrun Fund was established in 2022 in the name of TU Delft alumnus Michael Wisbrun, who graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management in 1976. The fund was established in honour of Michael's enormous efforts as chairman of Delft University Fund between 2013 and 2022. As chair, Michael has shaped the fund's ambition to become an innovative connector between TU Delft, its alumni, organizations and philanthropists through attractive propositions. And to be able to make a substantial contribution to TU Delft as a top global player.
With ‘team up with excellence’ as its mantra, Delft University Fund has developed many new propositions under Michael's guidance, such as the Excellence Fund and the Graduate Entrepreneur Fund. He also supervised the merger of the fund with the Stichting Fondsen Technische Universiteit Delft, which made the University Fund the Delft fund for alumni involvement and fundraising. This merger formed the basis for the further professionalization that the University Fund has since undertaken.
Michael has made a tremendous impact for TU Delft with his Delft can-do mentality. He is not afraid to take big steps, to challenge people, to broaden horizons and to shape that important connection between our alumni and the university. A man who is unconditionally connected to TU Delft, and I hope always will be.

Ir. Michael H. Wisbrun Fund for Ambitious Students
An annual grant is made available from the Michael H. Wisbrun Fund for ambitious TU Delft students to further develop an innovative idea with a large potential to create positive impact on society. In this special 'ambitious project' category, financing is possible up to 15,000 euros.
The breeding ground for excellence is ambition; coming up with and realizing new ideas with that typical Delft can-do mentality. With this fund I hope to help our future engineers in Delft to broaden their horizons
