Planning your legacy
TU Delft aims to use technology to contribute to solving societal challenges. These challenges include climate change and energy transition, digitalisation and robotics, as well as how we can improve healthcare through technological innovations. We tackle these challenges together with our students and researchers, and you can make a special contribution by donating now or through your will. In doing so, you leave behind something unforgettable and help ensure that technology has a positive impact on the world of tomorrow!
Free from inheritance tax
The University Fund Delft has what is known as an ANBI status: you do not have to pay inheritance tax on your bequest or inheritance. What you leave behind will fully benefit the purpose of your choice.
Inheritance
A notary can arrange an inheritance for you in a will. You can also name the University Fund Delft as an heir or as one of your heirs alongside, for example, family members or other charities. Your assets will be distributed among the heirs according to the provisions in your will.
If you have an affinity for a particular subject within the field of TU Delft, such as a specific study, groundbreaking research, or technological innovation, or if you want to contribute to solving a societal challenge, you can allocate a part of your inheritance towards that. This can be done by specifying a particular purpose in your will or by establishing a Named Fund. A Named Fund can be created from a certain amount, either during your lifetime or through a will. In both cases, we wouldhappily discuss your wishes to realise them as best as possible.
Bequest
In the case of a bequest, you leave a clearly defined sum of money or assets to University Fund Delft.
Gifts during your lifetime
It is also possible to combine a gift during your lifetime with a supplement from your estate after your passing. This way, you can see what happens with your money and enjoy it while you are still alive.
