"I have gained more respect for teachers"

The teacher shortage calls for smart solutions. Therefore, TU Delft and regional schools started the pilot "Co-Teach STEM," where experts from the field team up with teachers to deliver STEM education. The goal is to help prepare students for their future. Last September, the first participants temporarily swapped their colleagues for a classroom of thirty students. They followed a program of six modules to gain knowledge about primary and secondary education, aiming to work as co-teachers. These modules are taught by didactics experts from the TU Delft teacher training program. The participants recently received their certificates.
