TU Delft is taking the next step in Campus The Hague
TU Delft has given the green light to the further development of its presence in The Hague, under the name ‘TU Delft | Campus The Hague’. This campus in The Hague, together with Campus Rotterdam and AMS in Amsterdam, is part of the multicampus strategy of TU Delft. The aim of Campus The Hague is to better involve Delft students, researchers and their state-of-the-art technological knowledge in policy and governance.
'With TU Delft’s prominent presence and activities in the vibrant heart of The Hague - the city where policy is shaped and international relations are paramount - we fulfil our university’s societal mission. We contribute to informed political decisions, enhance policymaking and enrich public discourse', Behnam Taebi, Academic Lead TU Delft Campus | The Hague.
In the coming years, a campus is built up in which education, research and social impact come together around the three focus themes in The Hague: Climate & Energy, Digitalization and Safety & Security. In addition to the existing Master programme in Engineering and Policy Analysis (EPA), two new transdisciplinary Master's programmes are being developed and professional education is being set up under the working title 'Academy for Public Professionals'. The interfaculty Climate Safety & Security research center will also be further expanded in the coming years. From 2026, cohesion within our The Hague campus will be further strengthened by moving to the new University Building Spui (>3000 m2) in the center of The Hague. This building is shared with Leiden University, UNL and several other knowledge parties active in The Hague.
This next step and the new name were announced and celebrated during the summer drinks on June 26 at New Babylon, the current The Hague Campus location within walking distance of the House of Representatives (see photo).
