James Dyson Award – Wanted: problem solvers
Registrations for the James Dyson Award are open again. Are you a problem solver? Then join the design competition!
The competition is open to all design engineering students (as well as recent graduates) and is run by the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson's charity whose mission is to get young people excited about design engineering.
The faculty has a strong track record in the competition. Last year, the James Dyson Award in the Netherlands was won by a team of six IDE students with their project Ammos, a fully recyclable home audio system that produces crystal clear sound with a glass plate. In 2019 the Award was won by one of our students as well. Olivier de Gruijter designed a maintenance-free water filter that fits jerry cans, and is currently working on a product pilot in collaboration with Oxfam Novib. More news on that particular Delft Design in the coming weeks!
Are you the next problem solver? Registrations are open until June 30, more information can be found on: www.jamesdysonaward.org.
