INAA
Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) is a chemical analysis technique that allows for multi-element concentration determinations through nuclear processes. The technique is eminently suitable for investigation of materials for nuclear applications, such as power reactor construction. Also, it is one of the very few techniques that can determine halogen concentrations (fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine).
The Laboratory for INAA is part of the Reactor Institute Delft and offers to perform such analyses for third parties. The laboratory has a non-accredited quality system in accordance with ISO-IEC 17025:2005.
INAA can only be performed when the reactor is up.
