Ans Assignment Types
Ans can be used for both Digital Tests and paper-based Written Assignments. Furthermore, Ans offers group and individual Assignments that can be self- or peer-reviewed. You can find an explanation of all the Assignment Types below.

What is it?
You create a Written Assignment digitally. It is printed for Learners as a paper based assessment.How to use it?
- The printed documents can be scanned after the Learners have finished the test.
- Once the scans are uploaded, you can review and publish them digitally in Ans.

What is it?
A test or exam that you both create and administer digitally.How to use it?
- You can administer the test on campus or remotely.
- You can review the test online and publish it digitally in Ans.
- Many Question types that are suited for digital test are automatically graded.

What is it?
A Bubble Sheet is a paper-based Assignment Type, where Learners answer by filling in the right Bubble.How to use it?
- A Bubble Sheet test consists of only Multiple-choice Questions.
- Multiple correct answers cannot be selected.
- There is a maximum of 60 Questions.
- The Bubble Sheet and Questions need to be printed separately.
- You can customise the layout of the Bubble Sheet.
- The Bubble Sheets can be scanned after the Learners have finished the test.
- Ans can automatically review the uploaded Bubble Sheets. And you can publish them digitally in Ans.

What is it?
A Hand-in assignment requires Learners to upload one or several files.How to use it?
- Exercises and Questions are not answered by Learners, but they are used by the Reviewers to formulate their feedback.
- Learners can upload the following file types with a maximum file size of 25MB: .zip, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .xls, .xlsx, .csv, .txt, .py, .mp3, .mp4
A plagiarism scan is not implemented within Ans, so this Assignment type is not recommended for summative assessments.

What is it?
An Appraisal Form is filled in by the Reviewer while the Learner performs a practical skill, presentation or oral exam.How to use it?
- There is no need for Learners to log in to Ans. Exercises and Questions are not answered by Learners, but by Reviewers to formulate their feedback.
- The Reviewer decides when the Assignment starts for each Learner. That can be useful when the order in which the Learners take the assessment is not clear in advance.
- Questions and Exercises are shown in an overview, to reduce the number of clicks for the Reviewer.

What is it?
A Peer-reviewed Digital Test is similar to a Digital Test but is reviewed by other Learners.How to use it?
- Learners review others after they have completed their own test. You can set the number of Assignments each Learner has to review and a timeslot for reviewing.
- You can switch on anonymous grading, so Learners do not see whose work they are reviewing.
This Assignment Type should only be used for formative testing.

A Self-reviewed Digital Test is similar to a Digital Test but requires Learners to review their own test after completion of the Assignment.How to use it?
You should only use this Assignment Type for formative testing.
