Research

These groups represent an organization of work meant to facilitate exchange of expertise within the section and to encourage crossovers and collaborative projects with other groups inside and outside the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering.

• The Perceptual Intelligence Lab
  This lab studies the way humans perceive and experience visual, auditory and multisensory information and applies this expertise to the design of products and dynamic interactive systems in the realms of art, smart environments, visual and auditory communication, materials and lighting. 

• The Connected Everyday Lab
  This lab conducts interaction design research on the social opportunities and ethical implications of emerging technological paradigms for human communication and interaction such as the Internet of Things, social robotics, and smart materials, and applies this expertise in healthcare, sustainability, cultural heritage, and the fostering of inclusive, innovative and reflective societies.
