Prices X offer 2024-2025

X’s rates are based on the existing pricing policy, a brief explanation of which can be found below.

X subscription price
The X subscription gives access to most X activities/facilities (associations, ticket hours, events, free use of indoor and outdoor facilities). The student rate for a 12-month X subscription for the 2024-2025 season is 164 euros. The prices for shorter subscriptions and staff subscriptions are based on this rate. For a complete overview of the rates, see: X subscription.

Fitness supplement price
The student rate for a 12-month fitness (gym) supplement for the 2024-2025 is 164 euros. The prices for shorter fitness subscriptions and staff fitness subscriptions are based on this rate. For a complete overview of the rates, see: X subscription.

Course prices
The course fees vary per course and are determined by the number of participants, content, material and type of course. The rates are indicated per course in the webshop. Registration for courses is separate from the X subscription.

X pricing policy
The general principle is that the combined contribution of all X participants should cover 110% of the so-called direct costs. These are the costs directly associated with the annual programme of activities, such as the cost of trainers/instructors, as well as materials and equipment. However, these direct costs are only a small part of the total costs. The other costs (for the building, staff, etc.) are covered by the remaining 10% of the contribution by participants, by TU Delft, and from income generated by X itself (proceeds from hospitality, room hire). Our point of departure is also that an X subscription should give access to most of the activities offered by X (associations, ticket hours, events, independent use of indoor and outdoor spaces). This will keep the activities as accessible as possible.

X TU Delft takes changes in the consumer price index (CPI) into account when setting the pricing policy. The activities offered in 2024-2025 are based on the change to the consumer price index (CPI) in the month of March 2024.

An additional factor was taken into account when determining the fitness supplement. The fitness supplement price increase was relatively limited for students in 2023-2024 due to preparations being made for the implementation of a new fitness concept. This new and improved fitness concept can be used, and the associated pricing applied, from the start of the 2024-2025 academic year onwards.

The price increase for food products remains relatively limited due to the various efforts already made during the past year to continue to provide an attractive, varied menu with affordable prices which are based on ingredient purchase prices.
