The power of breathing has been harnessed for centuries in many different cultures. During these sessions, you focus on your breathing and use specific techniques to regulate and deepen it. This can range from simple deep breathing exercises to more advanced techniques. Practising these breathing techniques can yield mental and physical benefits such as stress reduction, improved concentration, emotional balance, better blood circulation and increased energy levels. The use of breathing techniques is often an integral part of workouts and meditation sessions, and you increasingly see training and courses focused solely on breathwork.

Various breathing techniques will be introduced in this ticket hour. By learning to consciously direct your breath, you can gain more control over what is happening in your body and mind. The breathing techniques are regularly combined with simple meditation exercises that you can also do at home. The more you practise, the more you will master the techniques and be able to apply them in your daily life.

Iris Plukaard

Iris took several yoga courses among which a course about yoga for kids and a course to become a personal yoga coach. She has been working as a yoga teacher at different gyms, yoga studios and X since 2010. Furthermore, she opened up her own yoga studio in 2015.
