Ballet is a graceful and physically challenging dance that is practiced worldwide. Well-known pieces are Swan Lake and Nut Cracker.
The beginner’s ballet course covers the basic techniques of this dance, including the basic posture, the positions of the feet and arms, and the first exercises at the barre such as plie and tendu. In class, you will also learn the basic jumps and start learning how to turn. The class consists of exercises at the barre, in the centre and travelling exercises. Ballet training helps you develop an elegant way of moving in which we create lines in the body, which in turn increases your strength and flexibility.
The beginner’s course is perfect for those with little or no experience (less than one year) in ballet. Over the course of seven lessons, you will learn the basics of this dance. You can develop these basics throughout the year, so you can continue with the intermediate course the following year.
