Echo Arena earns top rating among educators in recent survey

Last November, we reached out to educators who delivered multiple lectures in Echo or Flux during Q1 to gather their valuable feedback. The responses have been insightful, reflecting the dedication of our educators and their commitment to creating an optimal learning environment.  

The Echo Arena was a favorite among our lecturers, with a rating of 8.9! The compact, semicircular setup was widely appreciated. The other halls also received excellent scores, ranging between 7.9 and 8.2, furniture and AV to acoustics, light, climate, and service.  

68 out of 71 teachers indicated that the halls were (very) suitable for their teaching methods.  While the overall feedback is overwhelmingly positive, we value transparency and acknowledge areas for improvement. In Echo, lighting and light shading are highlighted as aspects that could be enhanced. Additionally, project rooms in Echo have raised concerns due to a mismatch with frontal teaching planned in spaces designed for group tables. Some teachers also reported initial challenges with AV equipment. In Flux, concerns about cold temperatures have already been resolved.  

We delved into the usage of digital facilities. In halls with 4-quadrant projection, one-fifth of teachers reported utilizing the system, while others expressed a preference for single projection or were unaware of the system's existence or had only heard about it. 

All feedback collected has been taken seriously, and we are actively working on making improvements wherever possible. Lessons learned will guide us in shaping the future development of our teaching spaces. Student satisfaction will be polled in March. Thank you to all of you who completed the survey.
