Highlighted Education Facilities on campus in the new Academic Year
In anticipation of the upcoming academic year, there will be a series of updates and improvements published within the domain of educational facilities and resources, tailored to enrich the teaching and learning experiences of TU Delft educators. The university remains committed to providing an environment conducive to educational pursuits.
Contact Service Points in buildings for all support inquiries
If you have questions or need help, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Service Points. Colleagues behind the desk are there to assist with room support, being your main contact for anything related to educational spaces, facilities, and audiovisual support, and kindly relay feedback and suggestions to the appropriate teams whenever you have any. Although the Service Point is your first stop, they're well-connected with experts on campus. Personalized assistance can be scheduled when needed.

State-of-the-art facilities! By the start of the new academic year, Flux will be ready to accommodate students in a new, temporary education building on Cornelis Drebbelweg 6 (behind EEEMCS), a central on campus.
Flux has four large instruction rooms for groups ranging from 154 to 192 people. The rooms are suitable for tutorials, group work and exams (half capacity) and feature a SMARTboard, blackboards and dual projection. The operation of the audiovisual equipment is identical to the other education spaces on campus.
The student tables are arranged in rows, alternating from 'deep' to 'shallow'. Students can work together in groups at the 'deep' tables by turning the chairs. Power outlets are incorporated into the tables and all walls have whiteboards. This flexibility allows students to engage in a variety of learning methods, enhancing their understanding and collaboration.
In the central hall, you can find cosy meeting areas and standard amenities such as vending machines, restrooms and a copier. Per usual, a team for service and support is nearby.
Flux is a demountable building. This fast and sustainable construction method was chosen because of an urgent need for more teaching spaces due to the increasing number of students. The building will stand on this site for 4 to 10 years. After that, the building will be dismantled and reused elsewhere (by TUD or externally). Other sustainable applications in Flux include solar panels on the roof and refurbished furniture in the halls and central hall.

From academic revisions and assessments to debates and collaborative ideation, the room boasts adaptable seating arrangements, alongside essential whiteboards. It is noteworthy that the Breakout Room is intentionally devoid of screens.
Kindly note that this space follows a distinct scheduling procedure and is not encompassed within the general scheduling framework. For inclusion of this space in your courses, we kindly request you to coordinate with your designated course scheduler, submitting a custom request as needed. Additionally, individual bookings for this space can be facilitated through the Pulse Service Desk.

Addressing the needs of educators, the Education Spaces Viewer is now enriched with Audiovisual manuals, complementing the existing photographs and facility descriptions. These comprehensive manuals cover an array of subjects, encompassing aspects such as the utilization of four-quadrant projection. Should educators seek guidance concerning the operation of AV equipment, the Service Points are conveniently accessible to provide assistance. Additionally, personalized expert support is available through the Service Point for one-on-one consultations. The accommodating staff at the service desk are not only adaptable and supportive but are also adept at offering guidance tailored to specific requirements.

For optimal outcomes in recording or streaming lectures, it is advisable to utilize SMARTboards. In contrast to conventional chalk or whiteboards, SMARTboard signals are seamlessly transmitted to the output, significantly augmenting readability for remote students.

Commencing the upcoming academic year, Microsoft M365 will come pre-installed on the computers across all education spaces, just as you're accustomed to on your personal work laptops/PCs. This comprehensive suite includes familiar programs like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, which can be utilized without interruption. However, it's important to note that Visio won't be accessible on the faculty PCs by default. Should Visio be essential for your tasks, we kindly ask that you inform the Service Point of the respective building.
To seamlessly access your personal M365 files and harness the full range of program functionalities on the readily available computers in the education spaces, log in to M365 using your NetID@tudelft.nl credentials. Ensure you have your multi-factor authentication (MFA) details at hand for a smooth experience.
