Let’s start a discussion about academic fraud

The Teaching Academy likes to connect lecturers within the TU Delft teaching community by sharing educational experiences, insights, knowledge… In short everything what has to do with education and benefit you and your peers. Like this video of Calvin Rans, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, about fraud; why it is such an insidious issue and why we need a collective culture to prevent it. Rans uses the video to spark this off with his students to frame the issue of fraud for them in a perspective they may not have considered. Beside sharing it with his students he would like to share it with others in the hope of sparking constructive discussions on the issue of fraud within universities and perhaps new collective measures to prevent it. Academic fraud should not be a battle between students and lecturers, but an issue they both want to prevent and solve together, according to Rans.
