Delft technology for a better society
Can molten salts provide a new generation of safe and sustainable nuclear power? Can we treat heart problems better with a digital twin? Will bacteria succeed in removing arsenic from groundwater and will we be climate neutral by 2050 by taking CO2 out of the atmosphere? These questions are at the heart of the Tech for Impact 2024 campaign.
Day in and day out, scientists and students at TU Delft work on projects that make our world a little bit better. Researchers Anna Smith, Mathias Peirlinck, Roos Goedhart and David Vermaas are striking examples. They are four top researchers who are not only driven by their scientific motivation, but also have the distinct goal of making a positive contribution to the world with their work and expertise.
Delft University Fund raises awareness and funds for their important work. You can read more about the four researches below. Which Delft impact maker can count on your support?
As Rector Magnificus of TU Delft, I see in practice how important alumni contributions are to increase opportunities for scientists and students, speed up research and enable additional testing or a pilot.
