The Circular Built Environment Hub will host the third Summer School on Circularity in the Built Environment from 8 to 10 July 2024. The summer school focuses on the Eurodelta region and its potential to contribute to the transition towards a circular built environment.

What if students from Architecture, and Building Technology worked together with students from MBO to develop circular building products? How would a systematic exchange between them affect their learning? And would it lead to designing and making building products differently?

On 9 April, the Circular Built Environment Hub organises the fourth debate in the 'Making the Circular Built Environment a Reality' series. This debate focuses on some of the social aspects of the transition to a circular built environment.

The Circular Built Environment Hub is also participating. On 13 March, PhD candidates will present their research and discuss with practitioners. There will be a video exhibition at the faculty, and stories on circularity in the built environment will be shared.

On 13 February, the Circular Built Environment Hub organises the third debate in the 'Making the Circular Built Environment a Reality' debate series. This debate focuses on the spatial dimensions of the circular economy.

During the Week of the Circular Economy, PhD candidates from the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment will present and discuss the circular aspects of their current research with practitioners.

While circular economy policies and initiatives are gaining momentum, their spatial implications remain largely unexplored. The third debate in the 'Making the Circular Built Environment a Reality' debate series focuses on the spatial dimensions of the circular economy. The Circular Built Environment Hub invites institutes, organisations and individuals to participate in this interactive session that aims to identify spatial conflicts, synergies, and potentials, paving the way for a future Circular Netherlands.

On 14 December, the symposium 'Architecture and Doughnut Economics' takes place.

On 18 December, Sultan Çetin Öztürk defends her PhD thesis 'Towards a Circular Building Industry Through Digitalisation: Exploring how digital technologies can help narrow, slow, close, and regenerate the loops in social housing practice'.

On 5 December, Tanya Tsui defends her PhD thesis 'Spatial approaches to a circular economy: Determining locations and scales of closing material loops using geographic data'.
