English-taught courses are available in the MSc programmes. BSc students are allowed to take MSc-level courses with the exception of courses given at the Department of Marine Technology.
Students are required to meet the necessary pre-requisites. This is assessed by the relevant departments of the courses. Please read carefully whether you meet the pre-requisites, as otherwise you may be denied admission.
To find subjects, please see this page. Under the filters, please make sure the following settings are present: ‘Teaching location’ should be set to ‘Trondheim’, ‘Filter’ should be set to 'Taught in English’ and ‘Course start’ should be set to the semester you will be following your exchange period.
Students are not allowed to follow courses at another teaching location than Trondheim when going on an exchange to NTNU.

Students taking courses in English are not required to have any Norwegian language knowledge.

Students to this university are eligible for the Erasmus Grant.

Normally, all students are allocated student housing in the spring semester. In the autumn semester, some students will have to find private housing. Exchange students from EU/EEA are not guaranteed housing.
